LEADVILLE, CO — FORETHOUGHT.net, a Colorado-based independent ISP, announced its partnership with High Country Developers to provide fiber internet. Forethought.net will deliver Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) internet to homes and businesses within the Railyard Leadville community.

“By building the Fiber-to-the-Home Internet network in partnership with the developers of Railyard Leadville, together we are taking an important step in providing the citizens of Leadville access to reliable fiber-optic Internet,” says Jawaid Bazyar, president of FORETHOUGHT.net. “This partnership is very important to us as we work towards our vision of removing the digital divide throughout rural Colorado. Today we are one step closer.”

According to Railyard Leadville, High Country Developers is committed to developing walkable, diverse and sustainable community. By connecting the community with FTTH it ensures reliable fast connectivity where people want to live.

Communities like Leadville can now expect better internet connectivity options than those in larger urban areas on the Front Range. With fiber-optic internet, Forethought.net can deliver symmetric speeds up to 1 gigabit. The FORETHOUGHT.net FTTH network is set to provide Railyard residents with up to 1 gigabit of upload and download speeds and have the option to include data and telephone service on the FORETHOUGHT.net FTTH network

Like many other rural communities, residents of Leadville have had to rely on DSL, cable TV or satellite internet where weather could affect the quality of the connection, and long outages are common. This partnership will ensure world-class Internet access in this iconic Colorado town, enabling remote working, telemedicine, 4K video streaming, and other modern bandwidth- intensive Internet applications.
