Rain network problems resolved

Rain's LTE-A network was hit by outages this morning.

"Clients connecting with the Afrihost fixed wireless Internet may experience intermittent or no connectivity to international sites," said Afrihost.

"Our team is working with our upstream providers to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible."

Webafrica's website carried a similar notice.

"We are currently experiencing connectivity issues on our LTE Network. Users may experience limited to no connectivity," said Webafrica.

Subscribers reported they were able to access certain sites, and that Rain's links to certain local content providers appear to be up.

Connectivity to several international locations was down, however.

Rain said its network was not down, but had a problem with it upstream Internet provider. This affected certain routes.

The problem was dealt with and the network is back to normal.
