Citing The Bell, it reported Samsung is also working on a folding smartphone. Apple's decision to go with LG may be an attempt to decrease its dependence on its biggest rival.
The report noted that the iPhone X was Apple's first smartphone with an OLED screen, which was supplied by Samsung.
